The Victory of God Missionaries Ministry was started by Elvis Kazungu, the man from Burundi, a country part of the East African Community. He is a husband of one wife, and father of three children.
Born and raised in Burundi, his amazing, incredible mother who raised him together with his five siblings was a fervent Christian. She inspired him in many ways, but mostly her love towards others. She always reminded him that he had to love others, and she always summed it up in the following words: ”That’s what our Lord and Savior, JESUS CHRIST, did on the cross! He grew up having that in mind, and has always tried to put it into practice the way he could.
Like most of other young boys, he did his elementary, middle, and high schools, and he graduated in high school in 1997. After high school, he went to college (university of Burundi), where he graduated in 2005 (he finished all classes in 2002, but due to a shortage in teachers who could supervise him while preparing his thesis, he had to present his thesis in 2005!) Life after college was not easy because, not only it was a start of a different life style, but he also was somehow confused since he did not know whether the kind of life he was living was the right one or not. He tried to do as others did, to enjoy what others enjoyed.

Our Vision
“My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth.” 1 John3:18. Our Vision is to make disciples through actions that portray true love
Our Message
Dear brothers and sisters, the scriptures say in the book of James chapter 2:15-17:”Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them “Go in peace, keep warm and well fed”, but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is that? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by actions, is dead.” We cannot warm the hearts of people with GOD’s love if we don’t help them in their physical needs. Let our good deeds fight for women who are crying around the world because of their physical needs that they cannot meet by themselves; Let us do the same thing for children who are struggling with hunger; We can change and improve the lives of men in prisons by our actions; Dear brothers and sisters; As we all make the body of Christ, we should be compassionate to one another. Compassion is what makes us human and allows us to engage with others. With compassion, we can reduce struggling, both for ourselves and for others. Compassion promotes meaningful connections, facilitates problem-solving, and improves health and well-being. Compassion leads us to understanding the struggles of others and wanting to help. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, told us to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19) and the disciples obeyed the command because they have witnessed how much Jesus Christ loves, and that motivated them to do the same thing for others. All that Jesus Christ did or said, does or says, will do or will say is an illustration of true love. The book of Matthew 22:37-40 makes it clear: love is the main focus of Jesus Christ. In these verses Jesus Christ tells the disciples to love GOD with all their hearts and with all their souls and with all their minds. Besides, He asks them to love their neighbors as themselves. Then the disciples (you and me today) are called to go make disciples of all nations as a result of that love for others. In other words, we should be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving ourselves.
